This unique book includes a facsimile edition of the 160 page 1911 auction catalogue with around 25 full page illustrations. Over two days a huge part of  Lymm went under the hammer.  The book also includes stories of how the auction came about, what the experience was like for one anxious bidder and what happened next, including who bought what and  for how much.  As a bonus there is a separate 16 page map booklet  tucked neatly into a pocket at the back of the book, again using the maps that accompanied the original  catalogue.
