Post-COVID Lockdown Offer.
We are very conscious of how difficult it has been for schools to undertake visits and have visitors in since March 2020. We are full of admiration for the all the great work that schools did by adapting to such difficult circumstances.
As a Thank You to schools and to help stimulate new links we are making all school activities FREE for the whole 2021-2022 academic year.
07/10/2021 With infection rates in Lymm alarmingly high at present and with our volunteers being predominantly 65+ we cannot offer face to face sessions but please look at the wide range of resources available to help you deliver local history. If you need further help please just drop us a line to firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank You.
Working with Schools
Delivering the local history element of the national curriculum can be a real challenge if there is not easy access to local knowledge and resources. That is what the team at Lymm Heritage Centre aims to offer to our local schools.
The Centre itself offers a fabulous focal point that can stimulate many idea and activities while we can also help you to interpret the village surroundings with walks and talks. We offer tried and tested sessions on "Lymm in the Great War", "Lymm Then and Now" and , in conjunction with Lymm Historic Transport Day and the Boat Museum but are also ready to provide support in many other areas based on Lymm's Trades, Transport and Traditions.
We have assembled a wide range of online resources to help you and our education team, which includes experienced education professionals is just a call or an email away if you would like help and advice.
You will find a wealth of material on this website but we have brought together some of the most useful via the links below. You can also borrow picture displays and storyboards on a variety of topics.
In here you will find maps, trade directories, a timeline and a wealth of other material. If you don't find what you need just ask and if we can help we will. >>>>>
Books & Materials
